Why would a soul want a body? 

A soul can't touch. It doesn't know the need for human skin. It can't run its fingers over someone else's hand and neck and back and it can't feel crippling desire and ecstatic passion. 

It doesn't know that deep feeling you get when you spread your fingers out and run your hands through water. It will never understand the comfort of having someone you love wrap their arms around you. 

A body is tangible and messy and gorgeous and tortured and darkly nuanced and glimmeringly hopeful. 

Your body is your daily reminder of your impermanence. There is nothing more exhilerating than acknowledging your own mortality. One life. One body. 

Each moment to be experienced only once before it ceases to exist.
